Claire Offenstadt
Welcome to my world
My inspiration draws as much from nature as from 20th-century modern art. I love both organic and geometric shapes. I am deeply sensitive to the details around me and place particular importance on the harmony of volumes, materials, colors and objects that make up my world, as they have the power to transform any space into a haven of well-being.
The creator
Graduated in Interior Architecture from the Académie Charpentier in Paris, I spent many years painting artworks, objects and furniture for kids’ bedrooms. After dedicating several years to my family, I immersed myself during the pandemic in painting on ceramic surfaces to create my own personalized tableware. It was a vital way to travel while staying at home.
I then turned to modeling and began creating my own hand-shaped pieces.
My inspiration draws equally from nature and modern art. Each creation reflects my commitment to uniqueness and aesthetics.
Ceramics & Tableware
Cooking and entertaining have always held an important place in my life, a legacy of a family tradition where every meal was a celebration — enhanced by the way my own mother loved to set her tables, adorning them with decorative objects we all admired.
Many of the pieces I create serve this very purpose. The materials, shapes and colors come together to create a world where the table becomes a central, magical place.
Color & shapes
Color holds an essential place in my creative world. Being able to coordinate a multitude of colors in a visually balanced way brings me a sense of well-being and deep satisfaction. I also enjoy working with clay intuitively, without using a wheel, as it is this irregularity that gives each piece its unique and singular character.

Firing the pottery
I shape my pottery using earthenware clay, which I let dry for several days before firing it for the first time at 980°C.
Once the pieces are painted and glazed, I fire them a second time at 1020°C. The firing of earthenware reveals unexpected colors, depending on the number of layers of paint I apply. Opening the kiln is always a moment of emotion and surprise!
